1. Overview
SP2639F is an excellent primary feedback control circuit for low-power AC/DC chargers and adapters. The control circuit uses primary sampling technology for precise constant current and constant voltage control, which can eliminate the optocoupler and TL431 in general applications. In constant current mode, the output current can be set by the sampling resistor RCS connected to the CS pin. In constant voltage mode, the chip's multiple working modes can ensure high overall conversion efficiency.
In addition, the chip has built-in cable voltage drop compensation, thereby achieving good load regulation. SP2639F works in PFM state in constant current mode and in PWM+PFM state in constant voltage mode, and works at reduced frequency when lightly loaded. The operating current of SP2639F is very low, and it can achieve application solutions with standby power consumption of less than 75mW. SP2639F provides comprehensive protection functions, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection (OCP), VDD overvoltage protection (OVP), VDD undervoltage protection (UVLO), feedback loop open circuit protection, output short circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, etc. Among them, output short circuit protection and output overvoltage protection have the function of automatic restart and recovery. SP2639F adopts SOP7 package.

2. Features
It has high constant voltage accuracy and constant current accuracy within the full voltage range; built-in 650V power tube, using primary feedback control, can save optocoupler and TL431, can adjust the set constant current value and output power, built-in primary feedback constant current control, built-in adaptive peak current control, built-in primary inductance compensation, with good dynamic response, multi-mode control method to improve work efficiency, full voltage range (85~264V) input standby power consumption is less than 75mW, built-in loop compensation, no external compensation capacitor required, ultra-low starting current and working current, externally adjustable cable voltage drop compensation, built-in leading edge blanking (LEB) function, integrated very comprehensive protection functions: VDD overvoltage protection, VDD undervoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection, output short circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, over-temperature protection.
