RS232 serial port - electrostatic discharge protection circuit
[Copy link]
The RS-232 interface is one of the mainstream serial communication interfaces. It complies with the interface standard for serial data communication established by the Electronic Industries Alliance of the United States. The original full number is EIA-RS-232 (abbreviated as 232 and RS-232). It is widely used in computer serial interface peripheral connections, connecting cables and mechanical, electrical characteristics, signal functions and transmission processes.
The RS-232 serial interface is easily affected by surge, voltage, and static electricity during signal transmission. This solution uses TVS devices or thyristor surge protectors TSS with dual-circuit protection for protection. It has the advantages of small package size, fast response speed, and low junction capacitance (little impact on data transmission and load capacity). It meets the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 electrostatic discharge and IEC 61000-4-5 lightning surge protection, allowing customer products to operate stably and reliably in complex electrical noise environments.
Protection circuit
