Although 1.8TCI is not the first engine developed by Brilliance Group, the previously independently developed 4G22 engine has not been widely used despite its superior parameters to similar domestic engines. This makes many people doubtful. Even if the prototype comes from Germany's FEV company and the test results are good, the imported manufacturing equipment cannot completely dispel this doubt. After all, the manufacturing area is in China, and there are no large-scale vehicles for reference.
3. Is the supercharger reliable? There are not many models with superchargers in China, mainly concentrated in Volkswagen , and its effect can be said to be mixed. The consensus is that the supercharger needs to be replaced after about 200,000 kilometers, and the price is not cheap, which invisibly increases the cost of car maintenance. Even if the British Garrett products are used, the best matching performance cannot be guaranteed.
