ST launches the first fully integrated GPS low-noise amplifier SMA661AS [Copy link]

On April 10, ST expanded the company's silicon monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) amplifier product line and launched a new monolithic amplifier IC designed for electronic devices with GPS functions: SMA661AS.
The new product SMA661AS is the first low-noise amplifier chip with integrated matching network and embedded power saving function. Since only one external input capacitor is required, the new IC greatly reduces the material cost and PCB board space occupied, making it an ideal low-cost and compact GPS low-noise amplifier (LNA).

This fully integrated SMA661AS adopts ST's advanced 70GHz silicon germanium BiCMOS manufacturing process. At the 1.575GHz GPS frequency, the chip's RF performance (RF) is excellent, with a power gain of up to 17dB, a noise figure of only 1.4dB, and a current consumption of 8.5mA. The new product has unconditional stable performance, with a standby current of only 10nA, and these parameters are guaranteed within the operating ambient temperature range of -40?C to +85?C.
