PIC Infrared/RF Remote Control

This is a general remote control project using a programmable PIC microcontroller (PIC16F628, PIC16F630, PIC16F684). The schematic shows the use of infrared (IR) or radio frequency (RF) media. If you are unfamiliar with microcontroller programming, you can use fixed encoder and decoder ICs instead. Well-known ICs of this type include Holtek HT-12D, HT-12E and Motorola MC145026, MC145027, MC145028.
