PIC Programmable Security System

This project uses the 12F675 microcontroller, chosen for its low cost, A/D converter, and flash memory. The security system is designed for simple installation, using only a hidden switch instead of a keyboard. The system features several functionalities, such as a built-in battery monitor in the code, making it suitable for remote locations operating on battery power alone. Furthermore, all latency and other parameters can be written to the flash memory via a Visual Basic program and the PC's serial port.

As shown in the photo, the circuit board has unused holes and is designed for various variations and future applications. Additionally, an optional connector is shown. This connector connects to a switch on my programmer, allowing me to switch the switch to "Load" mode, press the programming button, and then switch to "Run" mode. If I need to change the program, I simply switch the switch to "Load" mode, press the programming button, and then switch to "Run" mode without removing the integrated circuit or performing any other operations. If using this connector, the four thin traces between the connectors need to be cut. The ground trace remains intact.
