AD2S80A RDC tracking monolithic integrated circuit
is
the latest generation of RDC of ANALOG DE VICES. It can be used for
digital conversion of auto-angle machines, rotary transformers and induction synchronizers. It combines advanced CMOS logic circuits and high-precision bipolar
linear circuits, and is manufactured on the same chip using the BiMOS l process. The resolution and dynamic performance of AD2S80A
and AD2S82A can be selected by the user. The available resolutions
are 10, 12, 4, and 16 bit. AD2S81A is a fixed resolution (12hit)
RDC. Since they convert resolver signals into natural binary numbers using
a ratio tracking method, the output digital angle is only
related to the ratio of the input sine and cosine signals, and has nothing to do with their absolute values, so it has high noise. Suppression
capability, reducing errors caused by long wires from the resolver to the converter over long distances
. The 16 data line output ports have a three-state output data latch function,
which can be transmitted to an 8-bit or 16-bit data bus using pin control such as BYTE SELECT. It can also
output an analog signal (VELOCITY O/P) proportional to the speed, which can be used to replace the tachometer generator
. The reference voltage frequency range is 50Hz-20kHz.
Recommended operating conditions:
power supply voltage (±V,) ±12V ±10%
logic power supply voltage (vl) +5v ±10%
analog input signal voltage effective value (sin, cos) 2V ±10%
reference voltage 1-8V
input eight signals and reference voltage distortion 10% (max)
±10 phase shift between input signal and reference voltage. (max)
1. AD2S80A RDC Figure 8 12 shows the internal schematic block diagram and
external connections of AD2S80A. After connecting as shown in the figure, the AD
2S80A runs on
the tracking R DC of the I-type servo loop as described in the previous section . The digital output automatically tracks the input signal at the selected tracking speed
. Since the conversion is only related to the ratio of the input SIN and cos signals,
the amplitude and frequency of the input signal q are allowed to change within a certain range. Due to the presence of the phase-sensitive detection demodulator
, it has high suppression capability for the orthogonal components in the reference voltage.
Its digital output resolution is 10, 12, 4, and 16 bits, which can be output through SC1 and SC2.
