The solution integrates a PMW controller IC and the latest 700V and 800V CoolMOS™ P7 MOSFETs into a single package, supporting both isolated and non-isolated flyback topologies on a single platform.
The new fixed-frequency 700 V/800 V CoolSET™ uses high-voltage superjunction MOSFETs, combined with a cascade configuration of internal current regulators to achieve fast start-up and easily provide Brown-In protection. Integrated 800 V MOSFET and optimized leading edge blanking time support AC line input up to 350VAC. Energy-saving mode can reduce switching losses and reduce switching frequency under medium load and light load conditions.
In addition to standard output short-circuit protection, overload protection and overvoltage protection, CoolSET™ can detect abnormal line inputs. In-system protection includes VCC and CS pin short-to-ground protection designed to protect the controller from damage due to abnormal startup conditions. The overheating protection improves the handling of operating faults through a hysteresis unit. All protection modes are implemented through automatic restart to minimize system interruption.

Integrated CoolSET™ devices are available in DIP-7 and DSO-12 packages, and standalone fixed-frequency PWM controllers are available in DSO-8 packages.
