Voltage stabilizing circuit composed of silicon voltage regulator tubes and resistors
A simple voltage stabilizing circuit is mainly composed of a silicon voltage stabilizing tube and a resistor, as
shown in the figure. The figure shows the DC voltage obtained after rectification and filtering.
The voltage regulator tube VDZ is connected in parallel with the load. Since the voltage regulator tube VDZ is responsible for the voltage stabilization
work, it should be connected in reverse, so the positive pole of the voltage regulator tube should be connected to
the input. The negative terminal of the voltage. The resistor R in the figure is essential. It has two
functions: one is to limit the current after reverse breakdown of the voltage regulator tube to
prevent excessive current from damaging the voltage regulator tube , so it is called the current-limiting resistor. The second is
that when the input voltage (that is,
the output voltage after rectification and filtering) changes due to fluctuations in the grid voltage, the output voltage can be kept basically unchanged by adjusting the voltage drop on R.
However, there are two problems with this voltage stabilizing circuit. There are two outstanding shortcomings: one is that when the grid voltage and load current change too much, the circuit cannot adapt ; the other is that the output voltage cannot be adjusted. In order to improve the above shortcomings, a series voltage stabilizing circuit
can be used .
