Introduction
ZiLOG’s Crimzon RC Bullet
®
Manufacturing Ref-
erence Kit v1.2 is a complete evaluation kit for the
universal infrared (UIR) remote control. The UIR
library contains infrared codes for devices such as
TV, DVD, VCR, Satellite, Cable, Amplifier, and
Receiver. This kit contains four 32 KB ZiLOG
microcontrollers that have the ZiLOG ZBASE UIR
library separately for North American and
European regions.
The kit includes the following microcontrollers:

Microcontroller 1–North American library
without learning
•
Microcontroller 2–North American library with
learning
•
Microcontroller 3–European library without
learning
•
Microcontroller 4–European library with
learning
Crimzon RC Bullet
®
also provides advanced
learning feature which is useful for the remote
control to learn any new or missing codes.
The microcontroller is inserted into the board
socket for evaluating the RC Bullet
®
features and
library coverage. Once the evaluation is completed
and approved, the microcontroller can be ordered
in volume with the most current database in a pack-
age that fits the remote design.
