SMT Transformer
The B0863-A low profile, surface mount transformer was
designed specifically for use with the Maxim MAX5941B
Power IC in Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. It
operates in a forward converter topolgy and can be used
as a PWM controller for powered devices (PD).

This transformer features five windings, with the second-
ary dual wound in parallel. It operates at 275 kHz switching
frequency at a 50% duty cycle. For free evaluation

1. Inductance is measured at 10 kHz, 0.1 Vrms, 0 Adc.
2. DCR is measured on a micro-ohmmeter.
3. Leakage inductance is for the primary and is measured with all other windings shorted.
4. Isolation is measured between the primary and all other windings.
5. Operating temperature range –40°C to +85°C.
6. Electrical specifications at 25°C.
