result of the XP intro-
duction, the XL meters
are being obsoleted in
early 2004.
Five existing meters

35XL) will be replaced
by 3 new meters (5XP,
15XP, 35XP). The 5XP,
15XP, and 35XP were
designed to easily
cross to the older XL
Series, but they all
provide new design,

Features that differentiate the new XP Series
from other digital multimeters under $99:

VolTect™ Non-Contact Voltage Detector
VolTect™ is built into every XP multimeter. VolTect allows the
user to safely detect ac line voltages without contacting the circuit.
A non-contact voltage sensor is integrated into the top surface of
every XP multimeter. A front panel button activates the sensor –
when the top of the meter is held near an active ac line, a beeper
and LED are activated notifying the user of the presence of voltage.

Magne-Grip™ Holster with Magnetic Hanging Strap
The Magne-Grip™ holster gives excellent protection to the unit
against damage from drops, solvents, and harsh work conditions
and also includes an integrated tilt bail for bench top use. The
Magne-Grip’s magnet can be used to attach the meter to any
steel surface, allowing the user to use both hands to make
measurements. Electricians, field service technicians and HVAC/R
technicians have found this feature especially valuable.

Triple Safety Rated
Wavetek Meterman, like its parent brand Fluke, has a large focus on customer safety. Each model
of the XP Series is triple safety rated and designed to fully comply with safety standards. Each
XP meter has full fusing on the current ranges and overvoltage protection. Each XP meter is triple
safety rated to CAT I 1000 V, CAT II 600 V and CAT III 300 V. The units meet all CE requirements
per IEC 61010 2d Edition and are also approved to the US-CSA-C standard (full equivalent of UL).
