3M™ Electromagnetic Shielding Sleeves DS &

FS Series consist of sleeves braided with glass

fibers overwound with tin-plated copper foil.

Applications

3M Electromagnetic Shielding Sleeves DS & FS

Series have superior flexibility and EMI shielding

effectiveness. They are used to shield cables in

automated equipment, metrology, and harnesses

from main board to display components.

Shielding Effectiveness

Shielding effectiveness depends on conductivity,

permeability, thickness of metallization, degree of

contact, smoothness of application surface,

strength and frequency of EMI signal, etc.

However, using standard tests and fixtures, it is

possible to determine a value for the attenuation.

(See chart below.)
