VIDEO/CCD imager
The scanning system is functionally identical to
a solid state, one line, TV camera. There are no
moving parts to wear out, break or adjust.

Triggering Options
The scanner can be operated with an external
trigger or in the autotrigger mode, providing
operational flexibility.
• Viewing Options
Both end and side scanning models are available.
The side scanning option is well suited for ex-
treme space limitations.
• Large Depth of Field
The scanner has a depth of field of up to
2 inches (5cm.), allowing considerable flexibility
in scanner/label positioning.

Small size
The compact design and convenient mount-
ing make the BCR5242 easy to install in tight
quarters.

Low power consumption
The scanner operates at 5VDC and only
consumes 130mA of current.
• Reads all standard symbologies
Reads and autodiscriminates Code 39, Code
93, Code 128, CODABAR, 2 of 5, I 2 of 5 and
UPC/EAN

Reads poorly printed symbols
The advanced circuitry and optical design of
the BCR5242 allows the scanner to reliably
read poor contrast and soiled symbols.
