1 Introduction

The OLED0821 is an intelligent alphanumeric organic light emitting diode display designed to decrease
development time by providing an instant solution to any project. RS232, TTL and I2C protocol
communication options allow the OLED0821 to be connected to a wide variety of host controllers.
Communication speeds of up to 115.2kbps for serial protocols and 100kbps for I

C ensure lightning fast
display updates.
The simple command structure permits easy software control of many settings including brightness and
baud rate. On board memory provides up to forty custom characters which can be saved within the unit
and recalled for start screens, bar graphs or larger numbers. Finally, one general purpose outputs
provide simple switchable five volt sources.
The versatile OLED0821, with all the features mentioned above, is available in a variety of colour,
voltage, and temperature options to suit almost any application.
