3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Spring Connector 316IR is used to electrically connect two
or three wire ends, insulate the connection and provide a moisture-resistant seal
without stripping of the wires.
Meets requirements of:
UL Listed, Standard 486C, UL File E23438
22-16 AWG solid or stranded copper conductors with a maximum insulation diameter
of .160 inches

Installation
Technique
WARNING
Turn power off before installing or removing terminal. All electrical work should
be done according to appropriate electrical codes.
1. Insert 2 or 3 un-stripped conductors completely into connector and check their
position by looking through the translucent body.
2. Hold toll perpendicular to the conductors and make the connection by driving
the cap down flush with the top edge of the connector body.

3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Spring Connector 316IR has a 5-year shelf life from date
of manufacture when stored in a humidity controlled storage (10°C/50°F to 27°C/80°F
and <75% relative humidity).
