Conventional Fire Alarm Control
Description
The FC-10C Fire Alarm Control panel is a proven, versa-
tile, ten-zone modular control with integral communicator
and remote-site upload/download capability. It meets the
requirements of NFPA Standard 72 for Central Station,
Protected Premises, and Remote (DACT) Supervising
Station Fire Alarm Systems. It is Listed to UL Standard
864, inherently power limited and meets all UL transient
immunity requirements.
The integral communicator includes a wide range of se-
lectable transmission formats to communicate to virtually
all central stations. Other features of the communicator
are: A line-active indicator for each of two phone lines,
“Kiss-Off” signal LED, dual “low telephone voltage detect”
circuitry, programmable event codes per format and se-
lectable/deselectable transmission of up to 100 events.
Multiple security techniques allow uploading or download-
ing within one minute without affecting normal fire panel
functions. Key system information that can be uploaded
are: Current System Status, History, Walk Test Files and
System Programming.
An integral voltmeter allows voltage measurements for
Zone, AC line, NAC1, NAC2, resettable power and bat-
tery.
Housed in a red steel enclosure, the surface mounted
unit, (trim ring optional) provides space for two (2) B-7R
batteries.
The many features of the FC-10C control provide a cost
effective approach to systems design, and allow a great
degree of flexibility in one enclosure. Many of these fea-
tures include two (2) notification appliance circuits
(expandable to four) with output expandable from 3.0 to
6.0 amps total. Class A operation is possible with optional
modules. Fully programmable via integral keypad, the
notification appliance circuits may be programmed Si-
lenceable, Non-silenceable, Auto-silence (program 5 to 30
minutes) and Silence Inhibit (60 seconds).
Initiating zones may be programmed for process monitor-
ing via latching or non-latching contact closure and can be
used to monitor high-low temperature, loss of air flow,
water level, gas detection, open/close, refrigeration and
non-fire related tamper functions.
Also programmable are Alarm Presignal Timer, Alarm
Verification Timer and Optional Trouble Reminder.

Optional modules are available for ground start opera-
tion, trouble reminder and addition of two (2) fully pro-
grammable Form “C” relays. An optional serial interface
allows for a choice of remote annunciators with switches
for Reset, Drill, Silence and Acknowledge.
