7304/7204 Sensor Manager
The 7304/7204 Sensor Managers from MRV Communications
is a four-slot modular, expandable, high-density sensor
concentrator engineered to address the needs of
telecommunications network service providers, utilities and
corporate enterprise facilities. At unstaffed facilities that
require lights-out management, the Sensor Managers can be
used to alert technical staff to a door opening, power outages,
or fuel levels in a back-up power generator or many other uses.
The 7304/7204 Sensor Managers supports up to 4
modules that provide a variety of sensor input and control
options. Available modules provide 32 port sensor inputs,
8 port control outputs, or 8 port analog loops.
The
7304/7204 is ideally suited for facilities that employ
environmental, power, pressure and fluid or security alarms.
The 7304 Sensor Manager is a standalone unit with an
integrated LX Series Console Server, providing access through
an Ethernet/IP network, a serial connection or a V92 modem.
The 7204 Sensor Manager is managed through a separate LX
Series Console Server. This distributed architecture allows the
LX Series Console Server and 7204 Sensor Manager to manage
up to 512 sensor points using a single IP address.
The LX Series Console Servers provide
remote service port access and remote
power management of other network
elements. Security features include SSHv2,
SSL, PPP, RADIUS, TACACS+, SecurID.
The sophisticated Trigger/Action feature
allows automation, with the ability to define
an event trigger and follow on actions,
including flexible, automated notification
via e-mail, SMS, TAP, or SNMP traps.
This MRV solution supports an easy to
use browser based GUI, powerful CLI, or
SNMP based management. The SNMP
based Megavision management platform
also provides an fault management system
capabilities that provide administrators
with the additional tools to quickly identify,
manage, prioritize and resolve sensor events
and fault conditions.
