MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

The push-pull locking

system simplifies the

insertion and

removal of the

connector. This

makes it ideal for high

density interconnect

applications.

The high precision manufactured ceramic ferrules

are preradiused to reduce the insertion loss and back

reflection.

The connector and adapter body are made of molded

polymer.

The one piece SC

connector is widely

spread

in

all

telecommunication and

videocommunication

networks requirements.

The Amphenol Socapex

SC is intermateable with

the SC standard.

Technical description

• Typical insertion loss :

- Singlemode fiber : 0,3 dB at 1300 nm and 1550 nm

- Multimode fiber : 0,3 dB

• Typical back reflection (single mode fiber) :

< - 45 dB (super PC, Amphenol Socapex cabling)

• Reproductibility : ± 0,1 dB

• Durability : 500 mating/unmating cycles

• Cable retention by crimping : >10 daN (Ø3 mm)

• Operating temperature : -20°C, +70°C

• Connector materials :

- Zirconia ceramic ferrule

- Polymer body

• Push-pull locking system

• Spring loaded connector for physical contact butt
