The 234 series is widely used in general purpose indicator applications.
It is in popular 3mm diameter package and without flange.
The semi-conductor materials used are:
GaP for (234HD/HT, 234GC/GD/GT)
GaAsP/GaP for (234RHC/RHD/RHT, 234YC/YD/YT and 234SD)
