Overview
The Fiber Driver® chassis is the foundation for deploying and managing
the Fiber Driver media module product family. Chassis are available with
one, two, three, four, and sixteen slots.
The three-slot (NC316BU-3), four-slot (NC316BU-4 and NC316BU-4S),
sixteen-slot (NC316BU-16) and sixteen-slot Telco (NC316BU-16T) chassis
can be equipped with redundant, hot-swappable AC or DC internal
power supplies. The two-slot NC316BU-2 and one-slot NC316BU-1 come
with a single AC or DC internal power supply.
The NC316BU-1/NP and NC316BU4PMC/NP chassis are designed to
host fully passive modules such as the Fiber Driver Splitter/Combiner.
Because fully passive solutions require no external power source, these
chassis include no power supply.

Chassis with two, three, four and sixteen slots can
accommodate a network management module.
EM316NM and EM316LNXNM-OT provide monitoring of
system temperature, fan status, and power supply.
The NC316BU-4, NC316BU-4S, and NC316BU-16 mount in
19” racks. The NC316BU-3 and NC316BU-16T, have reduced
depth form-factors and front-loaded power supplies for
Telco installations. These models mount in 23” racks, and
the NC316BU-3 can also mount in 19” racks.
The one-slot chassis is suitable for unmanaged use in
standalone applications. The NC316BU-2 is designed for
single-module managed and two-module unmanaged
standalone applications.
