The RF-5850-PS Power Supply/Battery Eliminator family
may be used to power any of the FALCON
®
II manpack
transceivers:
The RF-5850-PS001 model mates with the wider body
radios: the RF-5800H-MP, RF-5800M-MP, RF-5800U-MP,
AN/PRC-150(C) and AN/PRC-117F(C).
The RF-5850-PS002 model mates with the narrow body
radios: RF-5800V-MP and RF-5800R-RC Remote Control
Unit.
The RF-5850-PS mounts to the radio in place of the
battery box and operates on 85 to 270 VAC, or 9 to 36
VDC. An internal battery (PS001 only) permits radio
operation for short periods of time (less then one hour)
without external power. The internal battery is charged
when external power is reapplied.
The RF-5850-PS has three indicator lights to provide
operating status. An auxiliary power connector is
provided to power an external DC device such as an
amplified speaker. The unit is supplied with an AC power
cable with a US NEMA 5-15P plug and a DC power cable
with pigtail leads.
