Description
The PT8A982 can be used with the decoder PT8A983
to provide full control to an infrared remote control
appliance. The PT8A982 has six input pins
corresponding to six function buttons: ON/OFF,
SMART, TIMER, SW1, SW2 and OUTSEL. The
PT8A983 has a group of output pins corresponding
to all functions. The encoding circuit in PT8A982
produces digital codes and sends to output pin SOB
via output circuit. The codes correspond to the definite
functional buttons and their combinations. The SOB
output pin is used in infrared application. The received
signal is sampled, fault-tolerantly checked and
decoded to control the infrared remote control
appliance. The Motor starts or stops at the Zero-cross
of the AC power as an SYN input pin is used. The
50Hz AC timed pulse input to this pin synchronizes
the OUT1, OUT2 and OUT3 outputs.
The PT8A983 has a timing mode in 1h, 2h, 4h and
8h. It is non-summable.
An external crystal 455kHz or a resistor is connected
