PMFA ‘T’ Series
Description
A family of low profile filter assemblies
designed for use with both 80mm
2
and
119mm
2
PAPST axial fans. In both cases,
the filter assemblies mount directly on to the
existing fixing locations. The ‘T’ series is a
compact design yet very robust for where
space is at a premium.
Construction
The assembly consists of four parts, an outer
cover, a filter pad, a mesh screen and
a finger guard. The cover, mesh and finger
guard are moulded in ‘Zytel’ nylon resin.
The inclusion of a finger guard as part of the
assembly will allow the filter medium to be

changed without the equipment having to be
switched off. The pad is manufactured from
white polyester type KS-22.
Filter Performance
The KS-22 pad will achieve a 60% dust
particle retention and is heat resistant to
100°C. A reduction in airflow of around
10-30% can be expected in some applications
when fitting the filter assembly.

and 150/172mm diameter.

bonded fibre to specification P15/150R.
Filter Performance
The filter pad will achieve a 75% dust particle
retention down to 5-10 microns in size and
can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C.
The pad is also flame resistant to BS2963.
A reduction in airflow of around 20-30% can
be expected with a clean filter assembly fitted.

Construction
The assembly consists of three parts; an outer
grill cover, an inner fixing plate and a filter pad.
The grill cover is moulded in polycarbonate
with a matt finish. It incorporates quick release
fasteners to assist easy changing of the filter
pad. The inner fixing plate is constructed of
steel sheet, with a matt black epoxy powder
