Description
The Thermo-Fuse Varistor (TVZ) is a family of Transient Voltage Surge Suppression products. TVZ is a three-
lead Thermally Protected Metal Oxide Varistor. One lead of the TVZ varistor is connected to a thermal fuse,
which may open when the varistor is subjected to prolonged abnormal over-voltage conditions.
The TVZ has a monitor lead (#2) for the purposes of indicating that the Metal Oxide Varistor has been
disconnected in the circuit (thereby offering the feature of a monitoring circuit).
