Kaltleiter sind keramische Bauele-
mente, deren elektrischer Wider-

Kaltleitern. Weitere Anwendungen
finden sich in der Mess- und Rege-
lungstechnik, in der Unterhal-
tungs-, Haushalts- und Kfz-Elektro-
nik sowie in der Daten- und
Nachrichtentechnik. Darüber hi-
naus eignen sich Kaltleiter auch als
selbstregelnde Heizelemente, z. B.
in Warmhalteplatten, Heißklebepi-
stolen oder zur Zusatzheizung
sowie Vergaser- bzw. Einspritzan-
lagenvorwärmung im Kfz.

wide selection of PTC thermistors

PTC thermistors are ceramic com-
ponents whose electrical resistance
rapidly increases when a certain
figure of temperature is exceeded.
This feature makes them ideal for
use in countless applications of

engineering, for example as rever-
sible fuses against current overload
or as shortcircuit protection in
motors. PTC thermistors are used in
