High Density SMC Connectors for modern bus applications
68pin and 80pin versions with SMT, IDC or pressfit termination
General
The 68- and 80pin male and female connectors of the SMC system in
the 1.27 mm x 1.27 mm grid are designed for reliable and economical
board-to-board solutions in modern applications like 64bit bus
systems.
Significant for the SMC connectors are the compact dimensions, the
excellent signal integrity and the economical assembly. Various termina-
tion styles with SMT and pressfit allow for backplane/ daughtercard
solutions or in the combination male SMT connector and female IDC
connector and the according ribbon cable for economical „board-to-
wire“ applications. For space-saving Rear-I/O connections on the rear-
side of the backplane ist the combination male pressfit connector and
female IDC connector ideal. The SMC fits exactly between 2 slots on
the backplane.
