GENERALITES
Les condensateurs céramique multicouches “haute tension”
EUROFARAD
sont adaptés à des applications du domaine de l’électronique. Ces
condensateurs ont été développés avec deux types de diélectrique, classe 1
et classe 2, correspondant aux spécifications essentielles des normes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
High voltage multilayer ceramic capacitors designed by
EUROFARAD
are adapted to applications in electronics. They are
available in class 1 and 2 dielectric versions complying with the
main requirements of applicable standards.
LES DIELECTRIQUES DE CLASSE 1
A base d’oxyde de titane et de divers oxydes rigoureusement sélectionnés, ils
possèdent une excellente stabilité de tous leurs paramètres sous les
différentes contraintes : temps, température, tension appliquée. Par exemple
leur “facteur de qualité” reste excellent dans un très large domaine de

CLASS 1 DIELECTRICS
Made of titanium oxide and other various selected oxides, they
feature unique stability of all parameters under such constraints
as operating time, temperature, voltage supply. For example, the
quality factor remains very high over an extremely wide fre-
quency range. As an

LES DIELECTRIQUES DE CLASSE 2
Ils sont constitués essentiellement de titanate de baryum modifié par
différents oxydes pour obtenir les propriétés électriques recherchées.
L’utilisation d’un diélectrique spécifique autorise en particulier une
excellente tenue aux surtensions. La constante diélectrique est élevée et
permet de réaliser des condensateurs de forte valeur de capacité.
Pour utiliser ces condensateurs dans de bonnes conditions il convient de
tenir compte des propriétés particulières des diélectriques à base de titanate
de baryum en fonction des différents paramètres dont les évolutions sont
indiquées par les

CLASS 2 DIELECTRICS
They are mainly made of barium titanate modified by various
oxides to achieve the electrical properties required.
A specific ceramic dielectric is used to achieve an excellent
dielectric strength. High dielectric constant enables to achieve
high capacitance values.
For optimum use, the specific properties of barium titanate in
function of the different parameters must be taken into account.

BOITIERS ET PRESENTATION
Pour optimiser les dimensions en fonction du produit CV pour les deux types
de diélectrique, il a été créé 10 formats (L x W).
Plusieurs finitions sont proposées pour optimiser ces composants en
fonction des caractéristiques des circuits d’implantation et des conditions
d’utilisation :
• condensateurs chips (séries C 180 et C 280) étamés à la demande,
• condensateurs moulés (résine époxy semi-dure) pour les conditions
climatiques les plus sévères (séries TCK 180 et TCK 280),
• condensateurs enrobés pour les circuits à trous traversants (séries TKD 180
et TKD 280 ainsi que les séries TCF 180 et TCF 280),
• condensateurs pour des applications où des impératifs d’encombrement
existent avec peu de risque d’agression des composants par des
contraintes extérieures ou encore qui seront surmoulés par l’utilisateur
(séries TCL 180 et TCL 280).
• d’autres présentations, par exemple avec rubans ou connexions DIL pour
report à plat ou à piquer (séries C 180 P, PL, L, R, N, NU et C 280 P, PL,
L, R, N, NU) sont possibles. Ces configurations sont particulièrement
recommandées pour les applications de montage en surface car elles
absorbent les contraintes thermomécanique.
CASES AND PRESENTATION
Ten case formats (Length x Height) of different thickness are
available to optimize the dimensions in accordance with CV
product.
Several finish versions are proposed to optimize the components in
compliance with circuit characteristics and operating conditions :
• chip capacitors with optional tinning of terminations (series
C 180 / C 280),
• molded capacitors (semi-hard epoxy resin) suited to the most
demanding environmental conditions (series TCK 180 / TCK 280),
• dipped capacitors suited to through-hole circuits (series TKD
180 / TKD 280 and also TCF 180 / TCF 280),
• capacitors suited to applications where reduced size is required
with minimum exposure to external constraints, or to
assemblies potted by the user (Series TCL 180 / TCL 280),
• Other presentations, for example with ribbons or DIL terminals
for surface mount or through hole (series C 180 P, PL, L, R, N,
NU and C 280 P, PL, L, R, N, NU) are available. These
configurations are recommended for surface mount
applications as they eliminate electromechanical stress.
CONDENSATEURS A USAGE SPATIAL
Les condensateurs chips et “à piquer” sont disponibles pour des
applications spatiales, à l’exception de quelques valeurs extrêmes.
Le Service Commercial d’EUROFARAD fournit sur demande toutes
précisions complémentaires sur ces composants (modèles avec suffixe S)
répondant aux spécifications ESCC spécifiques.
CAPACITORS FOR SPACE APPLICATIONS
Chip and molded capacitors are available for space applications
with the exception of extreme values.
Please contact our Sales Department of any information on
components meeting ESCC specification requirements. (identified
