Description of the Change: :
In an effort to make our product line more compatible with
regulatory and environmental guidelines, we are changing the volume manufacturing process for
the above products to make them RoHS compliant with Aavid Thermalloy specification RoHS
9000. (Available at http://www.aavidthermalloy.com/RoHS.shtml ).
These products are already compliant. Product that is RoHS compliant is identified with a
“G” suffix at the end of the part number as shown above in Products affected.
Scheduling of Change:
Sample Date:
Samples are available now for customer testing.
Volume Production:
Volume production is available immediately.
New orders should be placed for the “G” suffix product. Please adjust your current orders
so that they can be filled accordingly depending upon stock and availability.
EOL of unchanged Product:
Once the manufacturing process has been changed to the
RoHS compliant process, it may still be possible to manufacture products with Sn/Pb
process; however product manufactured with the Pb process require a pricing adjustment
due to cost increases associated with material and lower volume manufacture.
Customer Impact:
This is a part number change only. Please update your internal
documentation to reflect the “G” suffix and amend all outstanding purchase orders with Aavid-
Thermalloy to reflect the new part number.
