The CoreExpress Developer’s kit contains all hardware and software necessary to test

and evaluate the CoreExpress-ECO board.

The CoreExpress-ECO module is an advanced technology computer on module (COM)

based on the Intel Atom Z5xx processor. This processor offers the best performance-

per-watt figures of an X86 module and is complemented by a chipset with integrated

graphics. It comes with 2 PCI Express lanes, 8 USB ports, PATA and other digital-only

buses.

The Developer’s kit comes in a sturdy carrying case and contains the CoreExpress-

ECO module, mounted on a carrier board, a large 13.3” TFT display panel, all required

cables and a power supply. To ease software setup, either Windows XP Embedded or

Linux is pre-installed on the included Compact Flash disk. A complete documentation

set rounds the kit off.

The Developer’s kit is covered by three free hours of direct manufacturer support.

The user only needs to connect a USB keyboard and mouse, the provided display

panel, and possibly a USB based touch module, to get a fully operating demo system.
