G4B Panel Mount Power Relays will be Discontinued
Sept. 29, 2010; Replace with G7L-1A-TUB or LY1F
In support of factory efforts to consolidate relay products, the G4B AC Coil Panel Mount Relay
models will be discontinued September 29, 2010. Most G4B relay models were discontinued several
years ago and this last round completely discontinues the G4B family.
Final Order Date:
June 29, 2010
The G7L-1A-TUB and LY1F relays are recommended as conditional replacements. Migration should
be made carefully since there are notable differences.

Terminals for LY1F and G7L will not match up exactly with G4B Relay Models.
The size of LY1F is smaller than type G4B.
The size of G7L-1A-TUB is larger than type G4B.
The Load Rating is not as Robust for LY1F versus G4B especially G4B-RP. Testing in
application is recommended.
The operating specification is different. Recommend testing either G7L-1A-TUB or LY1F in
application.
Latest possible order date is subject to factory capacity prior to June 29, 2010. Recommend
ordering before June 15, 2010.
MJN1Z-E-RP can serve as substitute for G4B-RP SPDT High Capacity Models.
