Thermoform heat-shrinkable boots form a
watertight seal, protecting cables and
equipment from corrosion and
mechanical abuse while providing
excellent electrical insulating properties.
These Thermoform moulded parts are
suitable for most mass transit, military
and commercial marine applications.
Thermoform heat-shrinkable boots
replace tapes, epoxies and grease. The
boots can be used for cable breakouts,
transitions and terminations. They
provide reliable sealing on standard
Navy cable jackets and on lead, steel,
aluminium, copper and most elastomeric
insulation materials.
Thermoform heat-shrinkable boots are
available in flame retarded or halogen-free
options. Adhesive/sealant pre-coat
options are available in flame retarded
material (-131) options only.
Thermoform flame retarded, heat-
shrinkable boots are especially useful for
shipboard applications.
The boots are made of a rugged,
thermally stabilized, modified
polyolefin and are factory coated with
a thermoplastic adhesive.
Thermoform halogen free moulded parts
can be used in any enclosed area where a
flame retarded, halogen-free environment
is required. These environments include
tunnels, buildings and aboard ships.
