graphical monitoring software and interface hardware system

600 Series
SmartView™
Description
SmartView™ is a dynamic, feature-rich, graphical fire
alarm monitoring software and interface hardware system
for the Gamewell-FCI IdentiFlex 600 Series of addressable
fire alarm control panels.
Gamewell-FCI’s SmartView™ system includes worksta-
tion software — a Microsoft
®
Windows
®
2000-based graph-
ical user interface. SmartView
®
’s software is designed to be
easy to configure and simple to operate. SmartView
®
pre-
sents information through a graphical menu system and
dynamic color display while operating over a high-speed
Ethernet LAN/WAN or single-user network.
Similar to a website, the menu pages feature user-defined
“hot spots” that either launch a task-specific application or
direct users to another menu page. The system utilizes
custom fire alarm icons to display point-specific alarm infor-
mation. Each alarm event is displayed on a color-coded
alarm display, or with its floor plan pinpointing the exact
location of the alarm. Point-specific user instructions can
also be displayed. All events and user actions are logged
for creating user-selected customized reports. To enhance
user accessibility, event information can also be broadcast
to pagers or emailed via an optional Internet connection.
SmartView™ can monitor an individual IdentiFlex 600
Series addressable fire alarm panel, or an entire
SmartNet™/SmartLink™ network. The SmartView™ sys-
tem supports up to three SmartView™ workstations as
standard; for systems that require four or more worksta-
tions, please consult the factory. Included with each unit of
SmartView™ software is a net communications central pro-
cessing unit with 8 MB DRAM, 4 MB flash, a math copro-
cessor, communication ports, Gamewell-FCI 600 Series
fire alarm panel interface, and power supply.
