Standard Kit Introduction
RFM's standard ASH Transceiver Development Kits
demonstrate operation at an "air" data rate of
22.5 kbps, using a packet data link layer (MAC)
protocol implemented in an 8051 microprocessor
core. Typical outdoor range for the standard
development kits is 60 to 75 meters. These kits
are recommended for exploring medium range,
medium data rate applications.

CMOS to RS232C level conversion with provisions for direct CMOS logic interface
Packet link-layer protocol with ISO 3309 error detection and automatic packet
retransmission; up to 31 message bytes per packet (ATMEL AT892051 micro)
DC-balanced data coding for robust RF transmission performance
Simple host-protocol interface with example Visual Basic host terminal program
Diagnostic LEDs for system performance evaluation
Jumper programmable node addresses
