■GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
The XC6408 series is a positive voltage regulator IC manufactured using CMOS process with 28V operation voltage. The series
consists of a voltage reference, an error amplifier, a current limiter, a thermal shutdown circuit and a phase compensation circuit
plus a driver transistor. The output voltage and the detect voltage are user selectable in 0.1V increments. The over current
protection circuit and the thermal shutdown circuit are built-in. These two protection circuits will operate when the output current
reaches current limit level or the junction temperature reaches temperature limit level. The XC6408D series monitors its output
voltage and provides reset signal if its output voltage falls below the pre-set voltage. This reset time (release delay time) can be
set by an external capacitor. The XC6408E series monitors an external power supply and enables the output to be turned off
and the IC becomes a stand-by mode.
