The Fibrlok
™
2524 Series Splice Organizer Trays store and
protect discrete and mass, mechanical and fusion fiber optic
splices in a variety of 3M and non 3M fiber optic splice
closures. It reduces fiber optic splice tray assembly time by:
• using fewer parts
• offering simpler installation
• better organizing splices and fiber
The 2524 splice tray holds 24 Fibrlok
™
splices
(2525, 2590, 2599) and accommodates up to eight buffer
tubes holding up to 48 fibers (900µm or 250µm). The tubes
are secured with channel snaps so that cable ties are not
required. The fibers all enter the tray in one corner
eliminating the need for figure 8’s in the fiber.
Easy maintenance, easy access
The 2524 splice tray maintains a four-inch bend diameter in
the fiber. When splices are installed according to the
practice, fibers are spread out during splicing to allow
access to individual fibers. Splices snap into the tray upside
down, resting on a flat cap for stability with the snaps
recessed for protection. There is an opening under the splice
for easy removal.
An important design feature of these stackable trays is
the snap-on hinge cover on each tray. The trays snap
together with a hinge along the length of one side and with
a latch on the other side. This way, individual trays may
be accessed without disassembly of the trays above or
below – and without kinking buffer tubes.

Splicing and storing is a snap

Fiber Optic Splice Closure or 2178 Fiber Optic Splice Case.
It is also compatible with a variety of closures not
manufactured by 3M.
