Xia Qing , co-founder of Mushroom Cloud Makerspace and senior engineer at DFRobot, is active in maker communities both domestically and internationally. Since 2008, he has been committed to promoting maker culture and fostering the development of the maker movement in China. In 2010, he partnered with David Li, the godfather of Chinese makers, to establish China's first makerspace, New Workshop. In 2013, with support from DFRobot and SPDR Group, he established Mushroom Cloud Makerspace. As a co-founder of Mushroom Cloud Makerspace, he frequently encourages and promotes community maker projects. Meet Socrates: The Philosophy Chatbot on Latte Panda

Project Overview

DFRobot will showcase an innovative exhibit featuring LattePanda Sigma, a chatbot modeled after the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates. LattePanda Sigma, renowned for its powerful Intel processors and extensive expansion interfaces, now boasts a new capability: a locally deployed large-scale language model, enabling it to engage in intelligent conversations with exhibitors as Socrates.


This chatbot not only demonstrates the LattePanda Sigma's high-performance computing capabilities but also its potential for application in artificial intelligence. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with "Socrates," experiencing the fusion of cutting-edge technology and philosophical wisdom. Through this unique communication method, DFRobot aims to explore new possibilities for AI in education and entertainment, and showcase the versatility and flexibility of the LattePanda Sigma as a single-board computer.

Notes on the lucky draw for workshop places:

Participants must follow DigiKey's official WeChat account and register as a member of the WeChat Member Center. Participants in any activities at the DigiKey booth must complete the relevant form on-site at the Munich Shanghai Electronics Show.

Participants

Participants must reside in China and submit valid Chinese communication information, including mobile phone number, email address, and address. This event is open only to residents of China, aged 18 and over. DigiKey employees and their families are ineligible.
