OM6270 is a demonstration board for SC16IS750. SC16IS740/750/760 is a slave I 2 C bus/SPI interface that connects to a single-channel high-performance UART . The interface provides data rates up to 5 Mbit/s and ensures low operating and sleep currents. The SC16IS750 and SC16IS760 also provide eight additional programmable I/O pins for applications. The device is available in extremely small HVQFN24, TSSOP24 (SC16IS750/760) and TSSOP16 (SC16IS740) packages, making it ideal for handheld, battery-powered applications. This series of products enables seamless protocol conversion from I 2 C bus or SPI to RS-232/RS-485, and is fully bidirectional.
