FRDM-KW41Z is a development kit that supports Kinetis ® W series KW41Z/31Z/21Z (KW41Z) based on Arm ® Cortex ® -M0+ processor , integrates 2.4 GHz transceiver, and supports Bluetooth ® Smart/Bluetooth ® Low Energy (BLE ) v4.2, Generic FSK, IEEE ® 802.15.4 and Thread.
The FRDM-KW41Z kit contains two Freedom circuit boards that can be used as development boards or Shield expansion boards connected to the main processor. The specifications of the FRDM-KW41Z are compatible with the Arduino ® R3 pin layout, providing more expansion options.
The FRDM-KW41Z high-sensitivity, optimized 2.4 GHz radio features a PCB F antenna (which can be bypassed for testing via an SMA connection), multiple power options, push-pull and capacitive touch buttons, switches, LEDs and integrated sensors.
The FRDM - KW41Z platform is now powered by Arm® Mbed ™ Operating System and Zephyr ™ Operating System , both open source embedded operating systems used to develop the Internet of Things.
