I have made a very small HUB before, also based on SL2.1A. The disadvantage is: it is directly plugged into the USB port of the computer, and sometimes it is inconvenient for other devices because of the short cable. So I thought about making a HUB with a cable.
I'm really sorry for the long delay, because after finishing it, I found that this design has many flaws. Although the overall function is OK, there are many areas worthy of optimization!
First of all, there are advantages and disadvantages to using the method of soldering wires: it is convenient to a certain extent, but purchasing wires is also a hassle. Alibaba's cables are mixed, but the better ones I bought cost close to 2 bucks each; Secondly, the USB connector is not well packaged: maybe it would be more reasonable to choose a sunken plate type, or a vertical type, and it would be easier to design the casing. many! ! ! Finally, I want to complain about the positioning holes! A hole with a diameter of 3.2, no screw outer diameter is reserved, and a hammer is assembled.
