Overview

* 1. Introduction to project functions

Simple audio amplifier design with volume increase and decrease control buttons. A simple audio power amplifier circuit based on the PAM8407 filterless class D amplifier. This engineering design is the first DIY design project based on the video teaching of Lichuang Training Camp. The knowledge level is limited and the design is quite limited.

*4. Hardware part


The audio master is PAM8407, which is also recommended in the video tutorial. It is a filter-less Class D amplifier with a high signal-to-noise ratio and differential input, which helps eliminate noise. Allows speaker volume control. PAM8407 supports operating voltages from 2.5V to 6V, and the output adopts a filterless architecture, which is simple and low-cost. PAM8407 has built-in automatic recovery SCP (short circuit protection) and thermal shutdown.

The speaker is Fusheng Technology FS4014-8-2W.

The original DC5v power supply was unable to be used due to incorrect wiring of the switch. Another board was being built for improvement but it has not yet arrived, so the physical verification solution used a ready-made power module of DC 5v. Later, the DC power input port was re-boarded and ready for use. I omitted the switch due to the material. Use methods such as connecting tin and flying wires to clear the circuit. The pin in the upper right corner is the restart (shutdown) function. Since there is no switch, use a Dupont wire to connect to GND and complete the shutdown and restart by plugging and unplugging.

Physical verification 1 is the power input port. Because there was something wrong with the power input, I used a backup power supply made from a ready-made module. Physical verification 2 was repainted purple and repainted the power input port in Lichuang, but the switch was not enough. I chose to fly. The playback function, volume +- function, and shutdown and restart functions have been successfully verified.
