The KITMPC5744DBEVM evaluation board is equipped with the MPC5744P, the second generation of the MPC5xxx series of secure microcontrollers . The KITMPC5744DBEVM is a daughter board used to extend the KIT33908MBEVBE kit to evaluate the MC33908 system base chip . Together, these two suites form the basis of a secure ecosystem. The ecosystem is capable of achieving the highest functional safety level specified by ISO26262.
The daughter board contains the MCU and external components required to implement basic functions, such as decoupling capacitors, crystal oscillators, reset circuits, LED indicators, etc. Power and intelligent power management, including enhanced security features, are provided from the motherboard to the daughterboard. Therefore, the daughterboard cannot work independently and must be plugged into the motherboard via four 80-pin headers.
The daughterboard comes with demo software. The software is preloaded into the MPC5744P's flash memory. This code provides the algorithms and procedures required to properly initialize and operate the MC33908.
