The OP

2015 Electric Race Quadcopter Trial Progress Poster [Copy link]

Senior year, senior year, senior year... My exam scores were not high during school, so I didn't get into graduate school, and I was not allowed to take the postgraduate entrance examination, so I concentrated on my graduation project. I participated in two electrical competitions and one aviation competition, but I only won the second prize in the provincial competition this year, a frequency meter. I am interested in quadcopters, and I plan to use this year's (2015) topic as the topic of my graduation project. I will post the process here. My personal ability is limited, and it may take a long time to work on it. I hope everyone can give me more advice.

The college has some stuff left over from the electronic competitions in recent years, a bunch of development kits, 51, boards, wires, etc. It just so happens that the teacher I follow is in charge of these items. I originally thought that I could take them to play with by talking to the teacher, but later I found that there were not many quadcopter stuff in it, and most of them had to be bought by myself. First, I got a new Sidda ESC and a new Sidda 2212 motor, as well as the development board provided by Renesas in the 2013 electronic competition, RL78 or R5F100LEA. I heard that the new Sidda ESC is not easy to drive, so I came back to learn first.

I'll post the project first. I've already returned the ESC of Xinxida to the teacher. I fiddled with it for a few days to get the motor running. The principle of the program is very simple. Set a Multiple PWM output with a frequency of 50Hz (cycle 20ms), one master, four slaves, and the duty cycle of the slaves is 3%. Because I saw a sentence saying that the high level is about 0.7ms (duty cycle 3.5%) when the throttle is minimum, and the maximum throttle does not exceed 1.6ms (8%). So I first added a duty cycle of 3%, which is lower than the minimum throttle of 3.5%, and accumulated it 800 times. Each time, the four TDRs were added by 1. After adding, the duty cycle was 5% (regarding the calculation of this, RL78 comes with a 32M crystal oscillator, and each machine cycle is 16 crystal oscillator cycles = 16/32m = 0.5us, so the value of TDR00 in timer.h is 39999, and TDR01, 02, 03, and 04 are all 1200, adding 800 is 2000, which is exactly 5%). The output pins of the four PWM signals are 40/39/21/3 respectively. I am too lazy to solder the reset. When using an oscilloscope to detect the waveform, I first hook it on the pin, and then power it on. You can clearly see that the duty cycle has soared all the way (of course, it is not much). I have a question. When using the for loop to delay, I don’t understand how much each execution can be delayed. Can the master answer me? It’s simple, don’t spray...

That's all about the ESCs of Xinxida. Next, I bought F450 frame, Tiandifei 7 remote control receiver, flight controller, 3S battery, balance charger, and 4 Hoying 30A ESCs (I felt like a rich guy all of a sudden). Hoying ESCs are really easy to use. After unpacking, connecting the receiver and motor, it whirred to 0.0 as soon as I pushed the throttle. Now, I almost understand ESCs. As for the various powerful functions of Hoying, I will study them slowly in the future. I've been playing with mpu6050 these two days. I'll share my results when I have them.

The original poster, I have a very similar experience to yours! I am a senior in college, and I am also working on a quadcopter recently. I am planning to try the tracking one. Please share your experience~

I'm a newbie here to watch. I'm going to be a junior soon, and I'm a second-rate undergraduate majoring in physics, but I'm more interested in this~~~
