Design of new intelligent flow meter circuit module based on MSP430F449

Flow meters are advanced instruments for online measurement of fluid flow in pipelines. They are widely used in petroleum, chemical, papermaking, metallurgy and other industries, and are constantly developing in the direction of intelligence. This article introduces a new intelligent flow meter developed using MSP430F449 microcontroller. The basic principle is: relying on the rotation of components, a photoelectric encoder or a magnetic sensor is used to generate an electrical pulse signal, which is then sent to a flow calculation device composed of a single-chip microcomputer for processing. This flowmeter adopts new intelligent instrument technologies such as data correction, digital filtering, multi-output form, self-diagnosis, and power-off protection, as well as dual power supply system and dual sensor technology, making it more adaptable to various complex working environments.
