Connect the AC power input terminals 1 and 2 of the voltage regulator TA to the standard voltage of 220V; connect the secondary terminals 3 and 4 to the AC voltmeter V. The secondary output voltage should rise evenly from 0V to 250V by rotating the voltage regulating handwheel. When performing a load test, connect the standard voltage of 220V to terminals 1 and 2, and connect the load to secondary terminals 3 and 4. For example, a 1kVA voltage regulator can be connected to a 1kW electric furnace and AC ammeter A in series. Rotate the voltage regulating handwheel until the current reaches the rated current value of 4A and power on for 2 hours. If there are no abnormal phenomena such as smoke or mushy smell, the voltage regulator TA is deemed to be qualified.
