When the rotor of a wound asynchronous motor is started, DC current is supplied to pull the rotor into synchronization and
run as a synchronous motor, which is called asynchronous motor synchronization.
    The synchronous operation of asynchronous motors can reduce the reactive power loss of the motors, and can even feed back reactive power to the power grid
, improve the voltage quality of the power grid, and save electric energy. The lower the motor load rate and the larger the capacity, the better the economic effect.
(1) Main circuit and control circuit
    The circuit is as shown in the figure. The rotor of the wound asynchronous motor
uses thyristor excitation, and the excitation current can be automatically adjusted as needed to achieve automatic and stable operation. The motor is started by connecting a frequency-sensitive rheostat in series with the rotor winding.
