CD9088 is a monolithic integrated circuit suitable for electrically tuned micro-miniature FM radios. It adopts a 16-pin dual-row flat package. The operating power supply voltage range is 1.8~5V, with a typical value of 3V. This circuit contains all the functions of an FM radio from antenna reception to frequency identification and output audio signals.
The main features of the CD9088 integrated circuit: The CD9088 circuit is equipped with a search tuning circuit, a signal detection circuit, a squelch circuit and a frequency locking loop (FLL) circuit. The IF frequency of the CD9088 circuit is 70kHz. The peripheral circuit does not require an IF transformer. The IF selection is completed by the RC IF filter inside the circuit. In terms of tuning method, CD9088 can use traditional variable capacitance mechanical tuning, or it can use electrical tuning to search for radio stations like a digital tuning radio. When using electric tuning, just operate the search tuning button (RUN), and the circuit will automatically search for radio stations from the low end of the frequency to the high end of the frequency. Once a radio signal is found, tuning will automatically stop. When tuning to the highest end of the FM receiving frequency, just press the reset button (RESET), the local oscillator frequency returns to the lowest end, and the search tuning starts again.
