The 4108T Remote Site Manger combines all of the
capabilities of a complete Out of Band Networking
Solution in a single device optimized for remote
locations. This solution gives IT administrators the
ability to perform secure remote management of
power resources, electronic equipment and physical/
environmental conditions..
Sophisticated Trigger/Action control can be customized
to meet specific oranizational notification and control

Intelligent Power Management
The device supports four managed power outlets
which can be independently enabled or disabled to
turn on, turn off, or power cycle attached devices
greatly improving troubleshooting of non-responsive
devices in remote locations. Using the 4108T network
managers can remotely power cycle a locked up server,
bring a redundant system online or turn on an auxiliary
air conditioner. In addition to control capabilities
the 4108T provides utilization statistics for the entire
device and/or each individual power outlet. Individual
outlet statistics greatly aid in the proactive planning
and advanced troubleshooting of power related
conditions.

Remote Device Access
The 4108T supports MRV’s industry leading LX Series
Console Server features which provides a highly capable
and secure remote management solution. The 4108T
provides secure management connectivity to network
equipment, storage systems, servers, and security
devices which support console or “craft” ports. The 4108T
provides RJ45 RS-232 ports providing connectivity for
up to eight devices. An internal v.92 modem provides
an additional connectivity method in the event of
network failure. An integrated 10/100 Ethernet hub
provides 5 ports of connectivity for attached devices
without the need to install an additional hub device,
further reducing cost and complexity.
Industry Leading Security
MRV offers the industry’s first console servers to meet the
demanding US Government FIPS 140-2 cryptographic
security standard. With US Government approved agency
certification, the LX Series software delivers the most
secure and richest set of features including point and click
access to any port, per port password protection, SSH v2.0,
SNMP V3, IP V6, RADIUS, SecurID, LDAP, TACACS+, PPP
PAP/ CHAP, PPP dial-back, user access lists, and on-board
user database capabilities
Easy, Powerful Management Tools
The 4000T Series has a management option to fit every
style. The easy to use browser based Graphical User
Interface allows full configuration and management. The
industry standard style Command Line Interface provides
easy to use navigation while also enabling integration
with scripting automation tools.
Environmental and Physical Infrastructure
Monitoring
At un-staffed facilities that require lights-out
management, the 4108T can be used to alert technical
staff to a door or window opening, motion sensor
activation, and changes in temperature.
