Model 3015
Data
Ethernet Data Transceiver
Allows Teleport operators to implement
SNMP or web page monitoring and control
of 3000 Series modules over optical fiber.
3RU Rack-mount configuration.
1310 nm operation to 20 km or
1550 nm operation to 60 km.
Half duplex or full duplex
operation at 10 or 100 Mb/s.
The module will auto-detect
whether transmission is half duplex
or full duplex and the data rate.
Front panel indicator LEDs
give a quick assessment of
the module’s operational status.
Model 3015 Ethernet Data Module
The Force Model 3015 Ethernet Data Transceiver Module
is designed to allow system operators to incorporate
SNMP monitoring and control of the modules in the 3000
Series Satellite L-Band/IF 70/140 MHz transport system.
By installing the Model 3015 in a 3000 Series transport
system, the Teleport operator has a means of
implementing a system management and control
interface via an optical link, eliminating the need for
additional cabling in remote locations. The output of the
Ethernet module connects to the input of a Model
3000UB or 3000UD power supply with integral SNMP
interface, giving the operator access to real-time system
status via an SNMP management tool. The output of the
receiving Ethernet module may also be connected to a
hub or router, allowing the user to connect multiple
3000UB or 3000UD power supplies housed in the same
outbuilding. Ethernet also provides the user with the
ability to create computer networks between distant
locations or interface with equipment at 10 or 100 Mb/s
rather than RS-232 or other data protocols. As part of the
3000 Series L-Band family, the Model 3015 provides the
professional satellite operator a high performance
solution for satellite communications.
