Enhanced High Gain Sector Antenna
A
ndrew Broadband Communications Antennas (BCA)
offer an ideal solution to the complex and difficult problem
of providing optimum, cost-effective coverage for broad-
band communications. The Mark II sector antenna is the
newest member of the BCA product line, offering
enhanced, robust pattern performance and improved
cross polarization rejection. Covering the 27.35-28.5 GHz
band, this high gain antenna provides 90° of sector
coverage with a gain of 21 dBi.
The Mark II sector antenna provides robust, repeatable
broadband pattern performance. The azimuth pattern has
been enhanced to provide minimum response outside the
sector region, thereby:
•
Reducing sector-to-sector and inter-cell interference
•
Reducing pattern perturbations due to adjacent
structures
•
Improving side-by-side antenna isolation.
The elevation pattern has also been enhanced to improve
null fill and ensure uniform cell illumination. The
asymmetric pattern minimizes radiation above the horizon
where it is not needed.
Like the other products in the BCA family, the Mark II sec-
tor antenna offers identical patterns for vertical and hori-
zontal polarization and an integration-ready mechanical
design with a side entry waveguide port and space to
accommodate an electronic enclosure.
Other patterns/performance, or frequency bands, or
custom mechanical configurations tailored to meet your
specific requirements can be quoted upon request.
